Technical Author

Enpure Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Technical Author to be based at our office in Rubery, Birmingham.
Hybrid working - 3 days office based and 2 WFH.

Your duties will include the following:

1. Prepare and publish technical documents in support of projects in which the company participates.
2. Understanding of client and company standards for project technical documentation.
3. Edit and/or rewrite various sources of information into a uniform style and language for use in project documents.
4. Review of Operation & Maintenance manuals.
5. Assemble and issue extensive asset data.
6. Manage and liaise with external stakeholders on all projects.
7. Prepare and publish technical documentation as required for project teams.
8. Check and audit the activities of other technical writers as required.
9. Receive, register and file technical documentation and drawings.
10. Management of own time to agreed targets such that effort is efficiently spent.
11. Comply with company procedures and work instructions, guide notes and other information that forms part of the quality assurance, health and safety and environmental management systems.
12. Fully participate in the development of procedures and systems for use within the Administration and/or Project Delivery Department as applicable.
13. Communicate fully with other project team members and others on matters relating to the project.
14. Comply with all Health and Safety responsibilities commensurate with the role, as outlined in the Health and Safety policy.
15. Any other duties commensurate with the position as may be assigned from time to time.

About you:

1. Attention to detail and accuracy and quality of work.
2. Ability to meet project time objectives and within budget.
3. Ability to work within the team environment.
4. Contribution to the continuous improvement in the technical writing function of the company.
5. A minimum of 5 GCSE passes (Grade C or Level 6 or above), to include Maths and English.
6. Demonstrable advanced IT skills, especially in Microsoft Word.
