Job description

Job Title: Technical Author

Hybrid Work Policy: Primarily remote, offices in central London

Salary Range: £60-95K dependent on seniority and experience (multiple positions available)

Scope: Full-Time, Permanent, Employed

Organisation Details:

  • Company Size: approx. 400

  • Documentation Team Size: approx. 5

  • Industry: Software-as-a-Service, Cyber, B2B

Responsibilities:

As a member of the technical documentation team, you will create a variety of materials for developer-facing audiences, including:

  • API and SDK Documentation

  • How-To, Install, and Quick-Start Guides

  • Technical Blog Posts

  • Tutorials (written and video formats)

You’ll also support training efforts, working alongside developers, product managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure a consistent developer experience.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience creating technical documentation in high-tech environments

  • Excellent writing skills in English

  • Experience creating documentation for developer-facing audiences

  • Willingness to work in a diverse, multi-national and multi-cultural team

  • Right-to-Work in the UK (no sponsorship available for this role)

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience creating documentation using the Docs-as-code approach

  • Experience working in an agile environment

  • Coding experience, ability to create code samples
