ROLE: Technical Assessor
In this role, you will:
- Apply your Chemistry expertise to evaluate incoming waste streams using data provided by the sales team.
- Ensure accurate classification of waste and determine the correct disposal costs, requiring essential knowledge of WM3 codes.
- Focus on desk-based analysis, relying on your theoretical Chemistry knowledge rather than hands-on laboratory work.
- Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS: Technical Assessor – Hazardous Waste Management
We are looking for candidates with:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ideally, experience in direct client interaction.
- A minimum of an HNC in Chemistry (or higher). Related fields like Biology or Forensics may be considered if sufficient Chemistry modules were completed at a higher level than HNC.
- At least 1 year of experience in heavy industry or hazardous waste management.
- Familiarity with relevant industries such as soil treatment or hazardous waste (e.g., drummed, bulky, chemical, radioactive, acids, solvents, nuclear, toxic, oily rags, paints, liquids, sludge, flammable).
