Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position will be a hybrid position, working out of our site in Leatherhead or Reading.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Technical Application Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing APIs, databases, and enterprise applications. You will play a crucial role in ensuring system integrity, performance optimisation, and seamless integration across platforms. Your expertise in API management, database operations, and enterprise system support will be essential to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

In this role, you will:

1. Design, develop, and manage REST APIs (XML, JSON) to support enterprise applications.
2. Conduct and manage database extractions and copies to ensure data integrity and availability.
3. Collaborate on and support complex enterprise systems, troubleshooting issues and optimising performance.
4. Guide and mentor team members on best practices in application development and problem-solving.
5. Utilise Subversion/Git for source control and version management to maintain codebase integrity.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
To excel in this role, you must have a strong technical background in application architecture, enterprise systems, and API development. You should have extensive experience designing and managing RESTful APIs, SQL databases, and enterprise-level applications. A problem-solving mindset and a willingness to challenge existing solutions while proposing innovative improvements are key to success.

You should also have hands-on experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory services, and source control management tools such as Subversion and Git. Familiarity with infrastructure engineering principles and healthcare applications will be considered an advantage.

We're looking for a range of the following:

1. Advanced proficiency in designing and managing RESTful APIs (XML, JSON).
2. Strong experience with SQL for data management and query optimisation.
3. Proven expertise in developing applications using C#/ASP.NET frameworks.
4. Hands-on experience managing Windows Server environments and Active Directory services.
5. Proficient in using Subversion/Git for source control and version management.
6. Experience working on large-scale, enterprise-level systems.
