Organisation: Leicestershire County Council

Work Location: Croft Highways Depot, Arbor Road, Croft LE9 3GE

Worker Category: Hybrid Worker

Salary: £25,998 - £27,273 per annum (pro rata for part-time working)

Working Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

An exciting position has become available for a Technical Administrator to join the Network Management Team, Highways and Transport.

In this role, you will undertake the processing of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs), Order extensions, and Events Orders. The Temporary Orders are to facilitate temporary works and events on the highway. You will also assist in providing business support administration for the delivery of the Council's Network Management responsibility. This position includes both regular and ad-hoc administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate is efficient and understands the importance of accuracy and detail when undertaking administrative functions to support legal responsibilities.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  1. Have a good standard of education, including English and Mathematics at GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) OR demonstrable experience as outlined in the Job specification.
  2. Possess excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise tasks, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  3. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with good numeracy skills. Be able to work within set timescales and prioritise workload.
  4. Be willing to be flexible, learn and undertake a variety of different tasks, to develop yourself and to train others.
  5. Have administrative experience covering a range of tasks such as word processing, filing, photocopying, taking and relaying messages, and data entry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word and Outlook, or another email/internet package, is required.
  6. Be skilled in teamwork and be able to build strong relationships.
  7. While not essential, it would be beneficial to have an understanding of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders.
