Technical Accounting Manager (Hybrid)

Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Technical Accounting Manager to work for a fab company based in the Redhill, Surrey area. This is a hybrid working position, ideal for someone who is fully qualified with great people management skills, technical accounting expertise, and experience in financial reporting, month-end, and year-end processes.

Salary: up to 60K

Location: Hybrid working - 2 days office based

Technical Accounting Manager duties:

• Review and manage the month-end close process
• Lead the monthly and quarterly reconciliation process
• Prepare trial balance for income and expenditure
• Completion of tax returns (VAT, CIS, corporation tax)
• Monitoring and providing commentary on group accounts - reporting
• Set processes and oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting operations
• Prepare trial balance for income and expenditure and balance sheet accounts
• Manage a finance team

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience working in a similar technical accounting, Finance Manager / Technical Accountant role
• People management experience and skills
• Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with experience in the charity, not-for-profit, housing, or government sectors
• Able to identify opportunities for change and improvement
