Role Overview:
We’re on the lookout for a proactive and experienced Technical & Coordination Support Manager to join our NSSS organization. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the NSSS Technical & Coordination Support Team on our HPC site, ensuring the seamless progress of site prefabrication, valve implementation, Non-Destructive Test coordination, Hydro-pressure Test preparation, and documentation compliance. Your expertise will be crucial in preparing for the installation of instrumentation and ensuring a smooth hand-over to commissioning.
What You’ll Do:
Leadership and Management: Oversee a dedicated team of engineers, with a focus on operational leadership and flexibility to meet tight schedules. Your team will grow to match the workload, and you’ll be instrumental in unblocking technical issues to maintain workflow.
Quality and Safety: Ensure high-quality activities and learn from past projects to meet demanding quality standards. You’ll be responsible for HSE management within your scope and will collect evidence to demonstrate installation quality.
Collaboration: Work closely with contractors, the NSSS Lead Project Manager, and various stakeholders, including the MEH Alliance, Equipment Programme, and Commissioning teams. Your ability to influence and communicate effectively will be key.
Documentation and Reporting: Control and issue documentation prior to commissioning hand-over, prepare instrumentation activities, and validate weekly reporting during NSSS meetings.
Contract Management: Identify and manage deviations in the contract, ensuring efficient resource management within the defined budget.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: A minimum of 15 years in a related construction industry role, with a strong background in nuclear safety culture, quality management, and documentation control.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of piping installation in the nuclear industry, with a meticulous and rigorous approach to engineering.
Leadership Skills: Strong people leadership abilities to coordinate efficient delivery of the Construction Team and ensure quick, efficient review of installation documentation.
Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills to ensure smooth connections between stakeholders and good characterization of FCR/NCR on site.
