We are looking for a Tech Recruiter to come and join our talent acquisition team, who are responsible for scaling critical departments at Teya. The TA team partners with hiring managers to work on the most critical roles within the business. There is a cadence to deliver high quality talent as we continue to raise the bar of talent at Teya. Along with the rest of the team, technical hiring will be at the forefront of responsibilities focusing mainly on software engineering hiring across London, Porto & Madrid.
Your Mission
You’ll be the driving force behind sourcing, attracting, and hiring top technical talent, using platforms like LinkedIn, GitHub, and Stack Overflow to find those hidden gems. Building genuine relationships with candidates will come naturally to you, as you guide them through the hiring process and act as their trusted partner every step of the way. Collaboration will be key as you work closely with hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements and shape effective hiring strategies. You’ll bring market insights and recruitment metrics to the table, helping stakeholders make informed decisions while keeping them updated on progress. Our candidate experience is something we’re proud of, and you’ll ensure every touchpoint reflects our values and culture. Gathering feedback and continuously improving the process will be second nature to you. Organisation will be your superpower. You’ll own the recruitment process end-to-end, keeping our ATS (Smartrecruiters) accurate and up-to-date. Onboarding will feel seamless for new hires, thanks to your collaboration with people operations and hiring managers. Sourcing doesn’t stop at finding great talent. You’ll get involved in employer branding initiatives, such as attending tech meetups or career fairs, to showcase what makes us a great place to work. Beyond day-to-day recruitment, you’ll lend your expertise to team projects—whether it’s refining interview frameworks, driving diversity programs, or planning impactful recruitment events, these are projects you will be genuinely interested in. At Teya, no two days are the same, and your mission will reflect that variety and energy.
Your Story
You’ll have 4+ years of experience in technical recruitment, with a mix of agency and in-house experience ideally with a high-growth tech company. You will be able to demonstrate proven successes in hiring for roles such as Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Machine Learning Engineers & Security Engineers. Managing to achieve somewhere around 3+ hires per month. You will understand that the best talent will be working and being looked after by our competitors, will do what it takes to engage with them. LinkedIn Recruiter will be second nature to you, understanding where and how to find the best talent, whilst also pipelining strong talent for upcoming positions across multiple locations. Autonomy and ownership go hand in hand at Teya, you will be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders from team leads to directors. You will be able to adjust your communication and delivery style based on your audience. Candidate experience is close to your heart; you will care about how the journey begins and ends but are constantly looking to move mountains in the stages in between to ensure you will reflect Teya’s values at every opportunity. You will not just see diversity as a tick-boxing exercise; you’ll have a genuine interest in ensuring a diverse pipeline and introducing initiatives to expand on our current efforts. You are data-driven and can build and present data from various sources in a meaningful and easy to understand way; this will help to impact critical metrics such as time to hire & quality to hire. Organisation is a massive contributor to agility and success in our lean team. We don’t mind if your preference is a pen & paper but we’d look for someone who can help keep our systems including Jira, Notion, ATS & spreadsheets up to date for accurate reporting and analytics.
