As a Team Manager within the Children with Disabilities 0-18 Team, your expertise will guide the team in delivering exceptional care and services to children with additional needs. You will be engaged from referral through to permanence, playing a crucial role in shaping care strategies and fostering developmental transitions.

What you will do:

1. Oversee the daily management of a dynamic team, ensuring high-quality support and services are provided to children and families.
2. Collaborate closely with Social Work Consultants and senior management to uphold excellent outcomes for the children and young people in your care.
3. Lead care planning processes, including the commissioning of necessary services to meet the unique needs of each child, such as respite and residential placements.
4. Facilitate smooth transitions for children into adult SEND services, taking charge of EHCP proceedings when necessary.
5. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and application of the Care Act alongside SEND-related legislation to ensure compliance and best practice.
6. Maintain high standards of quality assurance, ensuring all activities meet statutory and organisational expectations.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in Children with Disabilities roles, particularly with experience in care planning and service commissioning. You'll possess a strong understanding of transition processes for children into adult SEND services and be well-versed in EHCP proceedings. Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are imperative for success in this role.
