Team Leader/Skilled Operative

Job Title: Line Leader/Skilled Operative with Counter Balance Licence (Food Manufacturing) - Temp to Perm

Shift Pattern: Flexible (primarily 9:00 - 17:00, with willingness to move across shifts)

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established food manufacturing company in Norwich, for a Line Leader with a background in food manufacturing and a counterbalance forklift license on a temp to perm basis. Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and motivate a team to achieve production targets efficiently
2. Ensure high standards of quality, food safety, and health & safety are maintained
3. Monitor and manage line performance, troubleshooting any issues to minimise downtime
4. Operate counter balance forklift to safely transport pallets and materials throughout the warehouse
5. Work closely with the wider production team to streamline processes and maximise output
6. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company procedures
7. Answer and make calls to suppliers, ensuring smooth communication and supply chain management
8. Attend daily management review meetings, providing updates on production performance
9. Assist with stock control and reporting any shortages or issues to management
10. Prepare and complete orders for dispatch according to schedule

What We're Looking For:

1. Experience in a food manufacturing environment (essential)
2. Previous experience as a Line Leader or Team Leader (essential)
3. Counterbalance forklift license required
4. Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and health & safety regulations
5. A proactive approach to problem-solving and team management
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills
