We’re currently recruiting for a Team Leader on our Night Shift to be based at our site in Hatfield on our contract with Arla (Dairy). We run a large fleet with 100 vehicles and 200 drivers. This is working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 7pm till 7am.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £31,275 per annum. In addition, we offer 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

1. Support the Shift Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations during your shift with a huge emphasis on safety, deputising in their absence.
2. Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep the customer updated.
3. Ensure all process and procedures are followed and that we operate a safe and efficient environment.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

1. It’s important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet.
2. Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a complex transport environment.
3. Proven experience within transport and a good understanding of compliance and driver hours.
