Job description

Team Leader - Learning Disabilities
Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Up to £30,000 per year
Report to: Registered Area Manager

This role would be ideal for someone with experience in health and social care within a supervisory position, preferably within learning disabilities or Autism. The purpose of the role is to ensure that the assessed care, developmental and support needs are always fully implemented. To develop positive relationships with everyone involved and create a homely, welcoming environment for the people my client supports. Proactively working to help people gain more independence by acquiring daily living skills, achieving their forecasted outcomes, and matching team members' expertise to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Run monthly Support sessions
  2. Conduct monthly team meetings
  3. Provide all staff with the required training
  4. Complete staff rotas
  5. Manage staff annual leave
  6. Complete monthly audits (medical, financial)
  7. Coach and role model
  8. Oversee development of all staff
  9. Ensure environments meet my client's high standard
  10. Ensure the people they support lead active and meaningful lives
  11. Maintain compliance standards to the expected standard
  12. Develop and maintain great relationships with families and professionals
  13. Work as a senior part of the York District team
  14. Report Safeguarding and incidents
Requirements:
  1. Must have a full UK driving license and own car
  2. Must be able to travel to attend training when required, this may include overnight stays on occasion
  3. Ideally, have achieved Level 5 in Health & Social Care or be willing to complete
  4. Level 3 minimum

The Services:
Staff team of 16 in total.
Service 1: 4 gentlemen with a mix of need level, some complex needs and some independent.
Service 2: Single occupancy homes for 2 women.
