Our Business Services teams focus on three areas: Systems and Transformation, Service Delivery, and Business Intelligence.

Job Description

In your role as Team Leader for the Finance delivery team, you will oversee the Accounts Payable function and manage the team's daily operations. Your leadership responsibilities involve nurturing your team members, ensuring they possess the necessary capabilities, understanding, and proficiencies to perform effectively. Your primary goal is to ensure timely payments to suppliers and employees for reimbursements while collaborating with the procurement team in Heathrow. You will drive to highlight any system challenges and escalate efficiently to the accountable team, whilst signing off monthly process and key controls.

Your role will involve

• Providing leadership to the team on a day-to-day basis ensuring a smooth delivery of the service, focusing on quality, service standards and process improvements
• Taking accountability for the team’s performance against defined milestones and KPIs
• Developing strong and meaningful relationships with stakeholders that drive value through clear objectives, effective prioritisation, accurate data and driving continuous improvements
• Creating and enabling culture that delivers accountability, openness, and improvement
• Ensuring future initiatives, plans and activities are robustly set up and prioritised to ensure accurate and timely delivery
• Ensuring effective audit controls are followed through, using data to identify trends and key priorities, creating an auditable trail of documents and actions

• Demonstrable people management skills, with the ability to create positive, fast-paced, service-focused team culture
• Effective influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders on all levels
• Demonstrable experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced changing environment
• Strong resilience and a drive to achieve great results within tight deadlines, whilst being comfortable with ambiguity and managing through changing priorities

Ideally, you`ll also have

• Working in a cross functional environment
• Data assurance background

Working location

Your contractual place of work will be the Heathrow Business Services Centre in Glasgow so you'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to work.

We also have some hybrid roles with a working approach which offers the opportunity for colleagues to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process.
