Team Leader
Salary: up to £16.18 per hour, plus Veolia benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week 6am - 2:30 pm includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
Location: Burnham, Buckinghamshire, SL1 8ND

What you'll be doing:

  • Crew team safe monitoring including H&S behaviour of all site users and promoting and demonstrating good safe behaviours.
  • Inducting and mentoring of new starters and retraining of existing team members on relevant safe systems of work and H+S procedures.
  • Recording attendance, completing Return to Works.
  • Regular training (issue Tool Box Talks) and competency checks of all operatives every month.
  • Managing holiday and leave requests effectively maintaining sufficient team numbers for front-line delivery and sufficient pool to cover sickness.
  • Reporting and recording accidents and vehicle incidents appropriately.
  • Reporting close calls and near misses.
  • Assist Operations Manager with day to day running of the Depot.

What we're looking for:

  • Local geographical knowledge
  • Experience in using waste management systems including Echo, Salesforce and PowerBI
  • Experience working with local authority clients
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • IOSH Passport Training, Traffic Management Qualification, Class 2 Driving Qualification or desire to obtain
