Team Leader (Injection Moulding)

Central Cornwall

Our client is an international manufacturer who provides parts across the plumbing industry. They are seeking a Team Leader for an injection moulding section in central Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities - Team Leader

1. Ensure department's adherence to Health and Safety requirements.
2. Maintain and enhance departmental housekeeping standards.
3. Execution of production plan to meet efficiency targets.
4. Ensure production quality is maintained to required standards.
5. Participate in efficiency improvement programmes.
6. Abide by and ensure department's compliance with company policies and procedures.
7. Understand department members' individual needs and requirements and maximize morale, motivation within the shift and across shifts to maintain departmental relationships.
8. Attend and present DSUM's and ensure excellent communication across all shifts through DSR, email, etc.
9. Daily cross departmental liaison (tool room, quality, planning, engineering, maintenance, assembly, etc).
10. Be fully skilled in all areas and activities within the manufacturing areas in the Moulding department.
11. Undertake production activities within the Moulding department when resourcing requires.
12. Inspection and measurement as procedures dictate.
13. Identify skills gaps within department members.
14. Demonstrate a duty of care to all colleagues, visitors, contractors, or anyone else on site.
15. Conduct and report on Process Audits.
16. Carry out any reasonable management requests.

Qualification/Experience - Team Leader

1. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent injection moulding processing skills.
2. Junior management experience.
3. ERM system experience desirable.
