Hiring for a Team Lead R2R (Record to Report) for one of the global consulting providers.

Company description:

Our client is a UK HQ global consulting firm specializing in optimizing business processes and leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency and workforce productivity. With over a decade of experience, they focus on areas like Global Business Services (GBS) transformation, AI and automation, outsourcing advisory, process mining, change management, and learning and development. Their expertise spans various domains, helping organizations streamline operations, reduce risks, and achieve strategic success. On the growth path, they are looking to expand the R2R (Record to Report) team to help drive their growth strategy.

Responsibilities:

  1. Execute month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS/GAAP standards.
  3. Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper classification of financial transactions.
  4. Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  5. Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  6. Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, SOX controls, and external regulatory requirements.
  7. Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation.
  8. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in the R2R process through automation and standardization.
  9. Support system enhancements and participate in finance transformation initiatives.
  10. Work closely with finance, tax, treasury, and business teams to provide financial insights.
  11. Coordinate with shared services teams across geographies for alignment and best practices.

Candidate requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA/CIMA/CPA preferred).
  2. Minimum 5+ years in R2R, General Ledger Accounting, or Financial Reporting (preferably in a Shared Services or Global Business Services environment).
  3. Hands-on experience in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  4. Must have experience in leading a team of 5 members.
  5. Must have experience in any one of accounting principles IFRS/UK GAAP.
  6. Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
  7. Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
