What's the role about?

Team Lead Developer

Permanent | Full-TimeSalary: Up to £80,000 per annum + annual company bonus
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Winnersh RG41 5PT (Hybrid)

We’re seeking a dynamic Team Lead Developer to drive innovation and lead our IT Development team in delivering robust, high-quality solutions in a Microsoft hybrid cloud environment. You’ll mentor developers (onshore and offshore), ensure development best practices, and contribute to solution architecture while overseeing the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development team to deliver innovative and secure IT solutions.
• Build new and maintain existing systems while adhering to high coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and implement solutions.
• Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and software delivery.
• Drive adoption of Azure cloud technologies, migrating on-premise solutions where needed.
• Provide mentorship, technical leadership, and enforce development standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, supporting end users when required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven professional experience in enterprise software development and SDLC.
• Leadership experience managing onshore/offshore teams.
• Expertise in Microsoft data technologies (SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS).
• Strong Azure experience (Data Lake, Synapse, ADF, LogicApps, etc.).
• Hands-on with .NET (VB, C#), Visual Studio, and DevOps (CI/CD pipelines).
• Proficiency in performance tuning, debugging, and secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience with WPF, WCF, EF, Blazor, or modern web frameworks (e.g., ReactJS).
• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or Data Science tools like Alteryx.
