The role provides a flexible team support service to managers and staff within Housing Services (approx. 20 staff). The Accommodation Service has a large database of customers (approx. 4,000), over 1,100 University properties, and many hundreds of properties owned by private landlords which are advertised on the Housing Services portal. The role sits within a team of 15 Accommodation Service staff under the Head of Accommodation Service, plus the Housing Operations team of 7 which combine to form a unified Housing Services under the Head of Housing.
The role holder is expected to follow guidelines and processes, operating within a busy Housing Service and being responsive and timely to customers as well. The role will involve: daily communications on phone and answering emails; processing and recording utility, internet and council tax invoices for approval, contacting suppliers; recording and following up complaints with tenants, as well as health and safety incidents; ordering supplies. The role holder will prepare a variety of well written reports and statistics.
