Job description

With an immediate start, a primary setting in North Leeds is seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work in their Year 6 class.

The school itself is a 2-form entry primary school that benefits from excellent public transport links both into and out of the city centre.

Ideally, applicants will have already gained some experience working within a KS2 class.

Duties of the role:

1. Leading small group interventions
2. Preparing resources
3. Creating displays
4. Supporting learners with Special Educational Needs
5. Managing behaviour within the classroom

What you will need:

1. A range of behaviour management techniques
2. To have worked with learners with a range of needs
3. The ability to re-engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
4. Experience working within a primary school or nursery
