Experienced Teaching Assistant – Camden Mainstream Primary School (Full-Time)

Location: Camden, London

Start Date: After Easter Break

Key Stage: Upper Key Stage 2

A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Camden is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team on a full-time basis. This is a dynamic role that involves working both in the mainstream classroom and within the school’s autism provision, supporting pupils with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will play a vital role in helping students access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils in Upper KS2 with ADHD and/or ASD
2. Support classroom learning and help manage behaviour in a positive, consistent way
3. Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCO to implement individual learning plans
4. Adapt resources and strategies to meet diverse learning needs
5. Foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

1. Prior experience working in a primary school setting OR with children/vulnerable adults with SEN
2. Strong understanding of autism, ADHD, and strategies to support neurodiverse learners
3. Confident, patient, and proactive approach to working with children
4. Full-time availability (Monday to Friday)
