SEN Teaching Assistant in Hartcliffe, Bristol - BS13

SEN Teaching Assistant
£90 - £120 per day, dependent on experience
Full-Time, 8.30am - 4pm

Based in Hartcliffe, BS13, easily accessible by public transport.

An excellent SEN school in Hartcliffe, Bristol is searching for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join them on an immediate basis. You will be working 1:1 with a child, supporting them in their numeracy and literacy within Key Stage 1 and 2 and ensuring they are fulfilling the learning objectives for each lesson. The children have varying social, emotional and mental health needs, communication difficulties (autistic spectrum conditions, Asperger's Syndrome; speech, language and communication needs), ADHD, and complex learning needs.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be working closely with the SENCO, providing a great opportunity for you to learn from their experience and develop in your career.

The right candidate:

  1. Enhanced DBS Check (We can assist with this)
  2. Graduate in a relevant field such as psychology or criminology OR a good education background (Maths and English at GCSE - Minimum grade 4/C or equivalent) plus prior experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  3. Compassionate and patient with a genuine interest in SEN and their input into a child's education
