Teaching Assistant - SEMH Primary School, Slough

Location: Slough
Pay: £90 - £105 per day
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP - Until End of Academic Year

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? A wonderful and supportive SEMH primary school in Slough is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.

About the School:
  • Small, nurturing setting - 38 pupils in total, with a maximum of 7 per class
  • Excellent staff support - Typically, one adult to every two children
  • Supportive SLT - Regular check-ins, training, and guidance
  • Teamwork-focused environment - Staff feel valued and part of a collaborative team
  • Friday early finish - Pupils leave at 12:30 PM, allowing time for PPA, meetings, and training
The Role:
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Helping students build confidence, develop social skills, and manage emotions
  • Supporting behaviour management in a positive and nurturing way
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
