Teaching Assistant/ Learning Support Assistant

Our fantastic client school, located in the Chelmsford area of Essex, is looking for a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join their team in January 2025.

The successful candidate will provide both academic and pastoral support to a pupil with additional learning needs. We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants, Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs), as well as enthusiastic graduates with relevant experience.

Experience in supporting any of the following needs is beneficial but not essential:

• ADHD
• Asperger Syndrome
• Autism (ASD)
• Behavioural, Emotional, and Social Difficulties (BESD / EBD)
• Challenging Behaviour
• Global Development Delay (GDD)
• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
• Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
• Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)
• Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

Key responsibilities for the role include:

• Providing excellent support to pupils with special educational needs
• Being a positive role model, offering encouragement, and building confidence
• Assisting with the planning of learning activities
• Supporting with classroom preparation
