We have an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant at Grove Road School.

Grove Road School is an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Based in Sutton, the school meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 11-19 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism.

About the role:

As a Teaching Assistant at Grove Road School, you will work with a range of young people between ages 5 and 19, and support them to achieve a positive learning outcome, regardless of the challenges they face.

You'll be:

  1. Assisting students in their educational and social development.
  2. Providing support inside and outside of the classroom, so they can fully engage in a wide range of activities.
  3. Helping to set up activities for students, using technology or adjusting the environment to suit their needs.
  4. Supporting teachers, engaging with students, providing learning support, and reacting to situations in the classroom in a positive, non-disruptive manner.
  5. Working 1:1 or 2:1 with some students, to give them the time and support they need to learn.
