Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: London
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in a vibrant and inclusive school in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are keen to make a positive impact on the learning and development of our students. The successful candidate will provide support in the classroom, assisting the class teacher in delivering lessons, working with small groups of students, and supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities.
  2. Assist in the planning and preparation of classroom resources.
  3. Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
  4. Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
  5. Support students with SEN, including implementing specific learning plans.
  6. Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
  7. Maintain positive communication with parents and carers as needed.
  8. Assist with general classroom duties and promote a safe, inclusive, and productive environment.

Key Requirements:
  1. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant (desirable but not essential).
  2. A strong understanding of child development and learning processes.
  3. Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to supporting students.
  4. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  5. A positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning.
  6. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  7. A commitment to promoting the inclusion and well-being of all students.
