About the role
Connex Education is working with a mainstream primary school in the Cleveland area who are looking for a Teaching Assistant, working with a child with SEND needs on a 1:1 basis and also within the school's special needs area. Start date is ASAP and is expected to be needed until the end of the academic year and possibly into the next academic year.
About the school
The primary school is based in the Redcar area and focuses on creating a nurturing and positive environment where every child can grow and excel. They are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who will be a key person and 1:1 support for a number of pupils with additional needs. You will be involved with education health care plans and liaising with the school's special needs co-ordinator to ensure pupils' needs are met. Working within this school you will be met by a welcoming team of SEND Teachers and Teaching Assistants working within the school's specialist area. We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who is happy working in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, the right candidate MUST be able to work from 8:30am – 3:30pm. Experience working with Special Educational Needs is essential for this role. The school may be able to accommodate part-time hours, therefore if you can work 3 full days per week or 5 mornings per week you are still encouraged to apply.
