Job Title: Teaching Assistant (No Experience Necessary)
Location: Cranborne, Dorset

Position Details:

Contract: Permanent, term time only (40 hours per week)
Start date: May 2025
Annual Salary: £22,102.72 - £24,103.93

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting and developing students, helping them achieve success in a safe and nurturing learning environment. You'll work closely with students to foster independence and self-confidence, whether through 1:1 support or small group learning. Flexibility, creativity, and positivity are key to this role, alongside a commitment to promoting positive behaviours and self-regulation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support students' learning and independence.
  2. Assist in planning, preparation, and evaluation of education programmes.
  3. Record and report on student progress accurately.
  4. Encourage independence and social skills development.
  5. Follow safeguarding and health and safety protocols.
  6. Promote positive behaviours and self-regulation.

About You:

No prior experience is necessary; we are looking for individuals with the right attitude and a genuine desire to build trusted, professional relationships with young people.

Key Qualities:
  1. Full UK driving licence with access to your own car.
  2. Level 2 (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English.
  3. Minimum age: 21 years.
  4. Positive, creative, and adaptable in meeting student needs.
  5. Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  6. Strong communication, numeracy, and ICT skills.
