Teaching Assistant

U-Educate are currently looking for Teaching Assistants for schools based in Fareham. We work with both primary and secondary schools in this area and have different roles available from day-to-day and also short/long term placements.

For teaching assistant roles, we will require you to have experience in this type of role, including 1:1 mentoring and support. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervision of students on a 1:1 or small group basis
• Provide additional learning support as identified
• Engage, motivate and encourage students to complete work set
• Ensure all students are focused and on track to meet their lesson objectives
• Support the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour
• Provide feedback to the classroom teacher on students’ progress and development

Requirements

• Previous teaching assistant experience
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
• Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children
• Up to date Safeguarding Training (You can undertake a free course with U-Educate if you do not have a safeguarding certificate dated within the last 12 months)
