Teachig Assistant

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a range of secondary schools across the Leeds area who are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants. Working as a Teaching Assistant is an excellent opportunity to become an integral point of contact in a child's school journey. The ideal candidate will be confident in scaffolding pupils and have experience in safeguarding and aiding a teacher in a classroom of high school age pupils. Behaviour management is also very beneficial.

Location: Leeds

Role: Secondary Cover Supervisor

Pay: .00 per day

Responsibilities:

1. Aiding the teacher in delivering pre-planned lessons to groups of 30-35 students.
2. Managing pupil behaviour.
3. Supporting students to access a range of lessons, adapting delivery to meet the needs of each child.

This work varies from casual day-to-day placements ideal for a flexible working life to more fixed-term placements (1-6 months), providing you with that fast introduction to a school that suits you. Working as a Cover Supervisor is an ideal way to start or continue your career in education.
