Job description

Salary: M1-M6 (Early Career Teachers Welcomed)

St Luke’s CE Academy is a unique, dynamic and research-based primary school with a devoted team determined to offer the highest standards of education and personal development to the children in our care. Joining our school as a teacher is a rare opportunity, which has only arisen due to promotion within our trust. To give you a flavour of our school, here are a few quotes from our recent Ofsted report which rated us outstanding in all areas (October 2024):

Parents are extremely appreciative of all the school’s work. One comment is typical of many when they stated, ‘the teachers work their socks off to make sure the children feel supported and encouraged and always go the extra mile’.

Staff are unanimously proud of the school and appreciate all its work to support their workload and well-being.

At St Luke’s CE Academy, we are proud to be part of Staffordshire University Academy Trust. We are situated in the village of Endon on the outskirts of the Staffordshire Moorlands. Our school is a warm and friendly school which focuses on learning and seeks to find and refine the talents in everyone …. “Helping Lights Shine for All” Luke 11:33.

We wish to appoint a creative and energetic teacher, who will enhance our current staff team– someone who will make a real difference to our children’s lives and continue to build upon the excellence that the school currently offers. We wish to recruit a teacher who is passionate and committed to providing children with opportunities and experiences that challenge and inspire them; a teacher who has a proven track record of good and outstanding teaching and a teacher who will embrace our school’s Christian values.

The candidate will enhance our vibrant and exciting team and help us in our desire to nurture our children and each other to be the very best they can be. The Academy has “Learning Without Limits” at its core.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Be a dynamic, reflective classroom practitioner and have a willingness to be innovative and driven by research.
  • Take part in all aspects of school life and will fully support our School Vision, Values and Christian ethos.
  • Have the potential and ambition to become an outstanding teacher with the support of an outstanding team.
  • Be able to work flexibly and supportively within a wider team.
  • Excited to lead a subject area, impacting upon our desire to allow lights to shine for all.
  • Be passionate about enabling all children to reach their potential.
  • Recognises the strengths of each child and is able to address next steps for learning.
  • Builds positive relationships with children, parents, staff and visitors alike.

In return we can offer:

  • Motivated engaged children who are excited to learn.
  • A school where wellbeing of all is a priority.
  • Exemplary behavior and attitudes displayed from all children.
  • Vibrant and exciting working environment and atmosphere.
  • A supportive Trust, where everybody matters (SUAT).
  • Committed parents and governors.
  • A thriving and positive school community.
  • An excellent programme of continued professional development. A caring Christian environment with strong church links.

We love our school, and think that you will too; therefore, visits to see our wonderful school in action are strongly encouraged. Please contact the school office on 01782 502369 to arrange a visit, or to ask any further questions about the position.
