Job Title: Teacher of Secondary Maths
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Do you have a passion for numbers and a talent for making Maths exciting and accessible for students?

If so, GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a mainstream secondary school in Basingstoke.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and structured Maths lessons that inspire a love for learning.
• Encourage problem-solving and analytical thinking through interactive teaching methods.
• Plan, assess, and track student progress in line with the national curriculum.
• Create an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere where all students can thrive.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance student engagement and achievement.

Requirements for the Maths Teacher Role:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) qualification.
• Overseas-trained teachers with relevant teaching experience are encouraged to apply.
• Experienced Teaching Assistants (TAs) looking to transition into teaching will also be considered.
• Experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4.
• A strong subject knowledge and the ability to motivate and challenge students.
• Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to student success.
• The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• A full and updated CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
