Teacher of Science

Location: Southwark
Contract Type: Permanent
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Inner London (£38,766 - £60,092)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join one of our client schools in Southwark from September. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching Science and the ability to inspire students across Key Stages 3 - 5 depending on your experience. Any specialism is welcome, but Chemistry and Physics are desirable.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging and innovative Science lessons that challenge and inspire students.
  2. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student progress and a love of Science.
  3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  4. Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and departmental resources.
  5. Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and enrichment programmes.

Requirements:
  1. UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to receive by September.
  2. Right to Work in the UK.
  3. A degree in Science or a related field from a reputable university.
  4. Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level (ECTs are welcome to apply).
  5. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  6. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
