About the role

As a Physics Teacher, you will oversee pupils' learning and progress across Years 7-11 in the Senior School. You will be encouraging practical, hands-on learning, confidently conducting experiments and demonstrations to support both theoretical and practical understanding of physics. Your main responsibilities include planning and preparing lessons according to departmental guidelines, collaborating with colleagues, setting ambitious targets based on pupils' prior attainment, and maintaining discipline as per the Staff Handbook. You should have high expectations for behaviour and learning, monitor and mark pupils' work, provide constructive feedback, and report progress in line with school policy. Additionally, you will be keeping parents informed through various measures, be familiar with special educational needs protocols, and manage a form group, acting as the first point of contact for parents, setting targets, and monitoring pupils' social and academic progress while promoting attendance.

Consideration will be given to both part time and full time hours. Option for additional responsibility for the right candidate.
