Job description

Job Title: Teacher of Religious Education (RE)
Location: Sheffield, S9
Salary Range: £155 - £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start time: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm

A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a passionate and dedicated RE Teacher to join their Humanities department. This is a full-time position starting immediately, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.


Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  2. Promote a respectful, inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and reflection.
  3. Plan, prepare, and assess in line with the school's curriculum and values.
  4. Encourage critical thinking and open dialogue around cultural, religious, and ethical topics.
  5. Contribute to the wider school ethos and enrichment activities.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching RE at KS3 & KS4.
  3. A reflective practitioner with excellent classroom management skills.
  4. A commitment to nurturing a safe and supportive learning environment.
  5. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
