TEACHER OF MUSIC

FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME

Suitable For Experienced Colleagues Or An ECT

Required from September 2025, Gillingham School in Dorset is looking for a dynamic and well-qualified teacher of Music for a fixed term to cover maternity leave. A successful ECT candidate would be able to complete their first year of training in the first instance.

Music is taught by an enthusiastic and effective team who embrace new challenges to build upon the department’s popularity with pupils. Music and Music Technology is taught across all Key Stages. It is a highly successful department in a vibrant and supportive school. In addition to classroom-based music, a large proportion of students participate in a diverse range of extra-curricular opportunities including Jazz Band, Concert Band, Orchestra, Vocal Groups, Music Tech, and Chamber music with regular concerts, trips, and a biennial music tour.
