Position: Teacher of French (Modern Foreign Languages)
Location: Redbridge, London
Contract Type: Full-Time Supply (January 2025 – Easter 2025, with potential for permanent appointment)
Key Stages: KS3, KS4, KS5 (AQA GCSE & A-Level French)
A high achieving Redbridge based secondary school is seeking a dynamic and passionate Teacher of French to join their outstanding Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Department. This full-time role is a supply position from January 2025 to Easter 2025 in the first instance, with the potential for a permanent appointment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach French to students from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5 (AQA GCSE and A-Level).
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to mixed-ability groups from Year 7 upwards.
- Promote an enthusiasm for learning French and support students in achieving outstanding results at all key stages.
- Provide ongoing assessments and feedback to students, helping them to reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the MFL department’s success, which consistently achieves excellent results.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have a Degree in French or a related field, with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Be passionate about teaching French and promoting the value of learning languages.
- Have experience teaching French at GCSE and A-Level, following the AQA syllabus.
- Be confident in teaching mixed-ability groups and able to differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of all students.
- Show a commitment to achieving high standards of teaching and learning.
