About The Role

We are now seeking a skilled and committed leader to join the team as Teacher of English & KS3 Lead. The KS3 Lead is a key position, and the successful candidate will play an important role leading excellence in English, as well as having many opportunities to collaborate with other Ark English leads. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the network here, as well working closely with the English network lead and senior leaders at the academy.

The successful candidate will:

  • be an outstanding teacher with a proven track record of securing excellent outcomes
  • have up-to-date knowledge of subject curricula and assessment requirements for English at KS4/KS5
  • be passionate about English education and the development of our students’ literacy
  • have some experience of leadership within a secondary school and have ambitions to develop their leadership further.

Isaac Newton Academy is a non-denominational, non-selective school, welcoming students of all backgrounds from the local community. We opened in 2012 with our inaugural cohort of 180 year 7 students.
