Protocol Education are working alongside a Wiltshire based school during an exciting time in growth for the school to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of DT. The school would welcome either full or part time applicants and ECTs/Subject Specialists are welcome to apply.

You will be well-supported by a team of dynamic teachers who are passionate about Design. The successful applicant will look forward to a high level of support and professional development in a friendly atmosphere, encouraging all staff to fulfill their potential.

The post will offer the successful candidate the potential to teach Design Technology across the age range from 11 to 18. They will be expected to teach all specialisms of DT including Food Technology. They should have a lively, enthusiastic approach to the subject and enjoy working as part of a close team. They should show commitment towards the ongoing development of Schemes of Work and teaching/learning approaches across the DT curriculum.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging DT lessons to students - Unqualified Teachers not expected to plan
  2. Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback
  3. Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance learning
  4. Establish a positive and supportive learning environment
  5. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support

The school is advertising for the role to begin in September 2025; HOWEVER, this could be brought forward for the right application. We also work with all Secondary Schools in the Wiltshire/Swindon/Bath/Bristol area, so there is never a shortage of work to fill the gap between now and September 2025 if you cannot start until then, so please do still apply.
