Job Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Chemistry to join our expanding department starting in September 2025. Our school, located in the heart of Southwark, is entering an exciting phase of growth and development as we prepare for the transition into our new premises in 2026. Responsibilities:

1. Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons, fostering a deep understanding and passion for the subject.
2. Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
3. Provide regular assessments and feedback to monitor student progress and achievement.
4. Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Chemistry curriculum.
5. Inspire and motivate students, promoting a love for learning and academic excellence.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
7. Participate in the wider school community and contribute to extracurricular activities when possible.

Qualifications:

1. Has experience teaching Chemistry at A-level and a strong track record of student success.
2. Holds a passion for Chemistry and for providing students with opportunities to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances.
3. Has the ability to differentiate and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
4. Demonstrates excellent communication and collaboration skills.
5. Is committed to the safeguarding and well-being of students.
6. Is proactive in staying up-to-date with developments in education and the curriculum.
