SRM Recruitment have been retained by a reputable, European headquartered M&A Insurance Underwriter who are growing their transactional risk business in the UK. As part of a strategic growth plan they are now looking to recruit an experienced Tax Insurance Underwriter.

Responsibilities:

1. Handling the entire underwriting process, with specific focus on UK and Continental Europe starting with confidentiality agreements, preparing non-binding indications, drafting policies, negotiating contract terms and preparing underwriting requests.
2. Issue of policy documents.
3. Establishment and development of international broker and customer relationships.
4. Building relationships with law firms in different jurisdictions.

Requirements:

1. Ideally, a degree in law / commercial law / business administration or in another relevant M&A environment, e.g. Corporate finance in the Big 4 or Banking.
2. Several years experience underwriting Tax Liability Insurance.
3. Your strengths include strong customer orientation, decision-making power and a high degree of persuasiveness, as well as high motivation and resilience.
4. You have already been able to demonstrate your strong team skills, your high sense of responsibility and your adaptability when dealing with a wide range of technical issues.
