In Equinor, Tax sits within the Chief Financial Officer's (CFO) organization. It is the driving force behind increased value creation and profitability in the company by being responsible for the finance and control function, risk management, business development, strategy and the functional centre of excellence organization.
CFO plays a key role in shaping and safeguarding the company, supporting improved performance and enabling Equinor to develop and deliver on strategic ambitions to create value as a leader in the energy transition.
CFO provides advice and professional support to business units as well as the corporate executive committee, and engages with external stakeholders. An important task for CFO is to ensure a high level of ethical and financial compliance that meets corporate and external requirements.
As a UK Tax Expert, you will contribute to the management of tax compliance and reporting tasks, while providing ad hoc support for advisory or M&A activity, as required.
You will be part of a growing UK Tax team, but also working closely with highly competent Accounting Managers supporting all of our business areas and assets, and will interact with a broad range of both internal and external stakeholders.
There will also be opportunities for international travel, as the UK is a key part of the wider Global Tax Team. The Team consists of a diverse group with experiences from different Business Areas located across the UK. The UK tax team is growing, currently consists of 4 people but is part of a large International Tax Team with a broad range of tasks. There are many opportunities to interact and network with other members of the team, both virtually and in-person.
