Tax Accountant (part-time or full-time)

Our client, a highly regarded brand name with a great reputation for providing a flexible and enjoyable working environment, has an interim need for a talented Tax Accountant to join its team. They are open to either on either a full time or part time basis, depending on the candidate's preference and will only be expected in the office for 2 days. Candidate must be available to start immediately.

This team is responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance, reporting and payment, as well as identifying any tax-savings opportunities and assisting business strategy by providing tax forecasting and analysis.

Main duties include:

1. Completing and submitting tax filings including corporation tax, VAT, benefits and share schemes
2. Responding to the changing business strategy by providing tax support, ideal and analysis
3. Working with advisors in other countries as appropriate
4. Understanding the business to identify risks and opportunities
5. Forecasting tax exposure
6. Preparing accounts notes relating to all sites including on consolidation
7. Balance sheet reconciliations

Key skills & experience required:

1. ACA/ACCA/CTA Qualified
2. Intermediate Excel skills
3. Minimum of 3 years corporate tax and/or VAT experience
4. Ability to analyse and improve processes
5. Effective communication skills and relationship building across Finance and non-Finance
6. A keen problem solver, can adapt and show initiative
7. Excellent time management
8. Positive and proactive attitude
