About the Department

The Finance and Commercial Department is responsible for the provision of a range of financial, planning, and reporting services to staff, students, and external organisations. It is dedicated to supporting the planning processes and managing resources in a controlled and sustainable manner.

About the role

We are now seeking a part-time Tax Accountant who will lead on all tax-related matters for the university, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax. This role will require you to be the main point of contact for the university and support matters relating to projects, contracts, and assessing global mobilisation risk while working collaboratively with departments and raising the profile of Tax across the organisation.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will support annual tax reporting and reviews, as well as take responsibility for implementing tax policies within the organisation.

This is a varied role that requires knowledge in multiple areas of tax and the ability to research and apply guidance on unfamiliar areas to help stakeholders across the organisation.
