Job description

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHSFT

An exciting volunteer opportunity has become available to work within Rotherham Talking Therapies and North Lincolnshire Talking Therapies.

The purpose of this role is to act as an ambassador for this service by supporting staff with group activities and accompanying them to events to promote the fulfilling work they do. As Talking Therapies is a very people-focused environment, you will be interacting and engaging with a variety of individuals while complimenting the positive contributions the staff are making.

Main duties of the job

The volunteer is required to work within the list of tasks identified as follows:

  1. Be an ambassador for the Trust and the services we provide.
  2. Support the Talking Therapies team to ensure a people-focused service.
  3. Help people to access the service, including marketing and promotional activities and assisting with reception duties.
  4. Work with a multi-disciplinary team.
  5. Support staff with activity and discussion groups.
  6. Ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all.
  7. Replenish and distribute leaflets and information when required.
