About our client
Our client, one of the most exciting deep-tech and life science focused investment firms in the UK, is currently looking to hire a portfolio-focused Talent Manager to join their high-performing team. The firm, which is a highly capitalised investor with unique access to some of the most innovative technology companies in the country, holds talent and human capital in high regard and is therefore looking to expand the function.

What the job involves
As the Talent Manager, you will work closely with the firm's Talent Director. On a day-to-day basis, you will be interacting both internally with investment teams and externally with the portfolio companies and wider community of partners. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about talent and growth to join a very exciting investment firm with a fast-growing portfolio of high-potential companies.

• Community development
• Act as a trusted advisor to portfolio leadership on both recruitment and talent assessment
• Embedding best practice talent acquisition both internally and externally
• Market research and benchmarking
• Development of materials, assessments, and studies
• Contribute towards the continuous growth of the talent function

Who we are looking for

• Experience of working with early-stage businesses
• Exposure to venture capital or private equity
• Experienced and skilled in senior level hiring
• A strong network of senior tech and/or life science professionals
• Able to work autonomously and be an independent thinker
• Happy to commute to either Manchester, Sheffield, or Leeds for three days per week
