Talent and Recruitment Officer

Location: Grimsby, DN31 2LJ

Salary: £33,600 per annum

Do you have previous experience working in recruitment? Do you get intrinsic satisfaction from seeing people progress in their careers? Due to an internal promotion, Lincolnshire Housing Partnership has an exciting opportunity in their Talent team as a Talent and Recruitment Officer.

As a Talent & Recruitment Officer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process for all campaigns across LHP. You will support hiring managers to recruit the best talent that meets their individual needs, championing internal progression of their 400+ colleagues.

A key requirement of this role will be adapting their Customer First approach to recruitment, delivering a customer-centric service to their applicants and internal stakeholders, keeping them informed at every step of the process and providing an informative, natural, and effortless service.

What qualifications, skills, and experience will I need as a Talent and Recruitment Officer?

Essential:

  • Experience of facilitating and delivering recruitment campaigns
  • Experience of using various job boards and social media platforms to promote vacancies
  • An excellent communicator with emphasis on building rapport with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write engaging job adverts and social media promotions
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office 365 (i.e., Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Access to your own vehicle and be able to travel to their offices, either Grimsby or Boston when required

What will I be asked to do as a Talent and Recruitment Officer?

  • Business Partnering: Hold kick-off meetings with internal managers at all levels, to ensure all recruitment follows the LHP recruitment policy
  • Promote LHP as an employer of choice: Organise and attend job fairs, recruitment events, schools, colleges, universities, etc. to attract candidates to LHP.
  • Writing Engaging Campaigns: Create inspiring and engaging job adverts for the LHP website and third-party job boards as well as liaising with the Communications Team for publication on social media platforms
  • Advertise across multiple networks: Proactively source the best potential candidates utilising LinkedIn, CV Databases, and external recruitment agencies.
  • Thorough Planning and Scheduling: Facilitate, plan and administer interview and selection procedures to ensure that the process is efficient and customer-focused.
  • Support and Coach Internal stakeholders: Support and coach hiring managers to select appropriate and innovative assessment methods.
  • Assessment and Interviewing: Actively involved in interviewing and shortlisting panels for all roles, when required.
  • Internal Progression: Support and promote internal colleague development and liaise with the Talent Manager for suitable training and development initiatives
  • Onboarding and Induction: Collaborate with the People Services team and be accountable for the colleague onboarding and induction process.
  • Delivery of Corporate Training: Support the delivery and implementation of the corporate training plan.
  • Coach and Support LHP apprentices: Provide support to the Talent Manager in managing the trainee and apprenticeship scheme.
