We have a fantastic opportunity for a Talent Assistant to join our Studios team. Based initially within ITV Studios Daytime, the Talent Assistant will also have the potential to work with other labels across Studios.

This role entails:
To provide accurate and timely administrative and contracting support throughout the hiring of roles behind camera roles ensuring adherence to ITV's policies and procedures. This is an entry level role and training will be given on ITV systems, processes and policies where required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in processing applications, managing talent pipelines, and supporting recruitment end to end process for junior editorial roles.
  • Post job openings on various platforms to ensure inclusive outreach and assist with talent searches, interviews, and pre-starter checks.
  • Administer end to end contracting process and deal with payroll queries, ensuring compliance with ITV policies and timelines.
  • Support the Talent Executives with the organisation of recruitment events and maintain professional relationships with external partners to attract a diverse talent pool.
  • Build knowledge of recruitment systems, relevant legislation, and social media tools while fostering collaboration within ITV and external stakeholders.

Standard hours/Any unusual hours/challenges?

  • Live TV can be unpredictable and can result in last minute requests, the ability therefore to prioritise workload and work to deadlines a key part of the role.
  • Some flexibility is required with regard to working hours.
  • Occasional travel to other ITV locations or networking events may be required.

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria). Please provide evidence in your application.

  • Demonstrable ability of providing excellent administrative support to several managers concurrently, processing a high volume workload within a busy and fast-paced environment to tight deadlines.
  • Experience of inputting data and managing a variety of documents/systems eg spreadsheets maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in ever changing circumstances.
  • Experience of assisting with the set up of small scale events fulfilling an outward facing role as well as marketing via social media.
  • Demonstrable ability and interest in learning things quickly and building required knowledge to fulfil a role as well as to work effectively and collaboratively within a team especially with regard to employment and contract legislation.
  • Demonstrable interest/experience in a relevant field eg HR, Law, Business Management or Production Management (this may be through a course of study at BTEC (or equivalent) and above).
  • Excellent spelling and grammar with previous experience of creating social media which engages and delights a digital audience. This could be a passion project or part of a course of education/training.
  • Demonstrable passion for sourcing the best talent for our shows in ITV Studios.

  • Some understanding of employment and GDPR legislation and its application in the context of recruitment and contracting (further training can be given).
  • Experience of, or demonstrable passion for, working in a film/television production environment and knowledge of the roles and skills required to make a successful team.
  • Experience of supporting recruitment processes using a range of approaches, systems and software packages in a fast turnaround fluid working environment.
  • Experience of assisting with campaigns, events and initiatives to attract new talent using a wide range of marketing tools including social media.
  • A proactive team player working sensitively and collaboratively with others to deliver best results, anticipate issues and offer solutions/suggestions for improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and time management and the ability to build positive relationships with external customers and internal stakeholders.
