Job Description
I am recruiting for a Systems Analyst/ Technical Business Analyst/ Solutions Analyst to join my client, a thriving online business based in the center of Hereford with the requirement to visit the office once a week/ once a fortnight.
They are made up of some of the nicest people and have a new requirement for a Systems Analyst/ Technical level Business Analyst/ Solutions Analyst to join their internal tech team of around 55 people who work in an agile environment.
Technology is at the core of the business and this role is all about helping the company improve how its technology and systems work together to support the business, focusing on the systems and data, and working with business analysts who will focus on the business process. Their systems range from their major websites to warehouse management and stock ordering systems.
The role involves understanding how things currently work at a technical level, figuring out where there are problems or inefficiencies, and suggesting changes to make things better.
You will work closely with the Head of IT and Development to analyse their current software, systems and processes as well as supporting the non-functional and technical requirements of new projects, working closely with their tech teams and business analysts.
You will need the ability to delve into the technical details of requirements, beyond the typical scope of a business analyst, reviewing non-functional project requirements to aid solutions design, so having a good understanding of what a solutions architect does would be desirable for the development of this role as there is the opportunity to move more in that direction in the future if this is something you are interested in.
As a Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in promoting best practices, such as MVP principles, to maximise value and minimize scope creep. You'll also need great communication skills to bridge the gap between the business and technical delivery teams, ensuring that technical solutions align with organisational goals and priorities.
Their ideal person will have worked as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role to this before. You should have experience in process improvement, data modeling, and systems design, combined with a logical approach to problem-solving and a methodical mindset.
A keen interest in process improvement is essential, with a focus on understanding how an organization's systems and processes work together and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
It's a really exciting opportunity to join in a role that will really make an impact in the business and that provides lots of opportunities to develop.
Salary is up to £54,000, plus great benefits.
