About the Role:
We are excited to invite a skilled Systemic Family Psychotherapist to join our Eating Disorder Inpatient Service. In this part-time role (30 hours per week), you will play a key role in providing systemic family therapy services to our patients and their families, helping them navigate the complexities of eating disorders while fostering long-term recovery.
In this dynamic role, you will be working closely with patients, families, and a dedicated multidisciplinary team, delivering interventions that bring lasting change and recovery.
Your Responsibilities:
- Specialist Family Therapy: Provide comprehensive systemic assessments and interventions for patients and their families, helping them understand and heal within the family dynamic.
- Collaborative Care: Actively engage in assessment, care planning, and facilitate psycho-educational and support groups for families, ensuring a unified approach to patient care.
- Autonomous Practice: Use your expert knowledge to offer professional advice and consultation to colleagues about the psychological care of patients and families, ensuring the best therapeutic outcomes.
- Integrated Multidisciplinary Work: Contribute to ward rounds, CPAs, and team care planning, offering your insights from a therapeutic, systemic perspective.
- Systemic Consultations & Training: Lead systemic consultations across the MDT and provide training to staff members, fostering a culture of systemic thinking and practice across the service.
- Reflective Practice: Run reflective practice groups for the team, ensuring continuous learning and professional development within the service.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Qualifications:
- UKCP-registered Systemic Family Psychotherapist (via the College of Family, Couple, and Systemic Therapy).
- MSc in Family Therapies.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong ability to work autonomously within professional guidelines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Experience in risk assessment and risk management within inpatient mental health services.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to therapy, with a strong commitment to working with families from a holistic perspective.
