Location: Luton (site based - 4 day condensed weeks as an option)

Duration: 12 month contract

Rate: £88ph UMB (Inside IR35)

Due to the nature of the role, there are UK eyes only restrictions. Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain SC.

Role details:

Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Systems Engineer specialising in Architecture and Security for a contract role in Luton. This position is integral to the development of Model Based Systems Engineering, supporting advanced Air projects. The contract is for 12 months with the option of a condensed 4-day work week, primarily based onsite in Luton.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Baselined updates and releases of models within CAMEO, including source control, design documentation and user guides
2. Development of systems engineering plans, analysis and trade study reports, and contribution to system performance reports
3. Develop and maintain Hazard Log, Security Risk Mitigation, and Technical Risk Lists in the model
4. Manage and generate documentation from the module, such as Architecture Description Document, Interface Control Documents, and Requirement Traceability Report
5. Propose high-level architecture roadmap and methodology for development in awareness of programme deliverables
6. Review proposed Architecture Models
7. Provide advice and input on system security requirements, architecture, and design concerns
8. Develop candidate security architectures in response to specified security requirements
9. Support delivery of the Secure by Design process by contributing to threat assessments, risk management, and security control development

Job Requirements:

1. Proven knowledge in Simulation and Modelling using Matlab and SysML/CAMEO
2. Knowledge of system architecture development
3. Understanding of security aspects covering Information Warfare, Networks, Cryptography, and System Vulnerabilities
4. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to steer technical interchange discussions
5. Experience in Product Data Management using Teamcenter/SharePoint/Confluence
6. Self-motivated with an aptitude for problem-solving and driving challenging issues to a conclusion alongside excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
7. Ability to obtain SC Clearance for UK-caveated programmes
